Lame to say, but I finally gave El-P’s I’ll Sleep When You’re Dead a full listen. Don’t get me wrong, Fantastic Damage is among the records I’d sacrifice a limb to save the last copy of, it’s just that El-P doesn’t make albums to snack on. You don’t take a chomp and switch to the next buffet platter. This is prix fixe with a design to blow minds. This guy hasn’t gotten the memo about how people don’t listen to albums anymore.

So anyway, I finally took the full time to give a listen, and, of course, it’s a brainmelter. Here’s one of the many moments in the album that made me shake my head over how well done he does it.
